Woven Realms is a shared, living world, full of realms to explore, stories to tell, and people to live life with. It’s an open universe for individuals and organizations (that’s you) to contribute their own stories, films, games, and other creations. This is a universe full of worlds to explore, worlds of wonder, magic, courage, and glory.

Welcome to the Realms of Arva
The Realms of Arva are a collection of solar systems and worlds created from the fragmented remains of god and crystal, brought together by the Wind Everlasting. Eons have passed, and these fragments have now been populated, many times over, by all manner of civilizations, cultures, peoples, and creatures.
Below you’ll find three that are currently being explored, but there are many, many more! Maybe you have an idea for a world you’d like to create and explore?
What is a
“Shared World”?
We’ve created The Realms of Arva to be a universe that anyone can create stories within. We’re inviting creators of all stripes to help create this world, together. We’re expecting to create written stories, games, films, and everything in between – all created within a single, fantastical, universe.
To this end, some of our own goals are to:
- Create specific systems for artists to submit their work to the Woven Realms project.
- Create deep enough lore to draw inspiration for, but light enough that it won’t box in creativity.
- Create our specific work under a variety of licenses, with the core stories under an open license that allows for as much freedom as possible for others.
What does this means for you?
- Well, this allows you to use our shared lore to write stories, make games, create art—whatever you imagine.
- You own everything you create. Sell it, give it away, license it however you want (in keeping with the license)
- You could even add your own creations and stories to that shared universe lore, allowing others to expand further on what you’ve created!
What is a
“Living World”?
The way we’re using the term “living” might be familiar to gamers. Essentially, we like to make it clear that the Realms of Arva is a world that continuously evolves and adapts as creators and players interact and create within the universe. This offers a dynamic and ever-changing experience for those interacting with our world as well as provides inspiration and a creative spirit for those wanting to make their mark on the Realms.
The Realms have a current “present day”, they have a past, and a deep mythos, and as creators, players, and readers interact with the world, its story will move along, moving the current state of the universe into the past. Characters, locations, and stories will come and go, and stories that impact the Realms as a whole will change how participants interact with the world. Essentially, the Realms of Arva will change, this is not a story already told.

At the heart of what we do is a commitment to the redemption, creation, and growth of genuine community. We believe that creativity flourishes most powerfully when it happens together. It is our hope that through collaboration, shared vision, and the bonds formed in community, that the Woven Realms will form and grow.
